Moomin Comic Strips Exhibition: Hiroshima 2021

The Moomins move to the Hiroshima Museum of Art

Venue
Hiroshima Museum of Art
When
Jul 17th - Sep 5th 2021

The Moomins are characters in a cartoon series developed by Finnish illustrator Tove Jansson, and they've become quite popular here in Japan. A special event moving around the country looks at over 280 drawings and sketches of this much-loved troll family, many of which haven't been displayed in Japan before. From July 17th until September 5th 2021, the exhibition will head to the Hiroshima Museum of Art.

The ticket price for this event has not yet been determined - updates will be posted on the official website closer to the event's commencement.

After Hiroshima, the event will move onto the Nagoya City Museum in Aichi Prefecture.

Getting there

The Hiroshima Museum of Art is located a short tram ride from Hiroshima Station. Head out of the station's south exit, and then hop on either streetcar line 1, 2, or 6 for around 15 minutes until you reach the Kamiyacho-higashi stop. The museum is around a 5 minute walk from there.

Parking at the museum is only for guests with disabilities, so public transport is recommended where possible.
