Koupen-chan Rainbow Museum

Celebrating the 4th anniversary of this popular penguin

Venue: Sapporo PARCO When: Jun 11th - Jul 11th 2021

Lovers of all things kawaii may need no introduction to Koupen-chan. The adorable penguin was created by Japanese illustrator Rurutea four years ago, and since then has amassed a cult-like following. In celebration of the 4th anniversary of Koupen-chan, a limited-time museum will be popping up on the 7th floor of the Sapporo PARCO mall, and there will be around 150 original drawings on display.

There will also be photo spots set up around the museum and a range of exclusive merchandise available for purchase.

Adult admission to the museum is priced at 500 yen.

Getting there

Sapporo PARCO is located just three minutes on foot from Odori Station, which is served by the Namboku Line, the Tozai Line, and the Toho Line.

For those who opt to drive to the venue, parking is available on-site. It's charged at a price of 400 yen for the first hour, and then 200 yen for every 30 minutes thereafter. Parking can be validated for 2 hours for those who spend 2,000 yen at any store within the PARCO complex.
