Rune Naito (1932 - 2007) was a Japanese artist, designer, and illustrator, and he is often regarded as one of the pioneers of the country's kawaii (cute) culture. His designs have featured in various publications and advertisements, including on the side of buses in his hometown of Okazaki in Aichi Prefecture.

A special exhibition taking place at the Kobe Fashion Museum will delve into Naito's body of work, with original drawings, kawaii goods, and more on display.

Admission to the exhibition is priced at ¥ 1000, and no advance reservations are required.

Getting there

The Kobe Fashion Museum is located approximately 10 minutes drive from the Maya or Uozaki exits of the Hanshin Expressway. Paid parking is available at the Kobe Fashion Plaza parking lot, located on the basement floor of the museum.

For those visiting via public transport, the venue is just a minute on foot from Island Center Station on the Rokko Island Line.
