Tadanori Yokoo Exhibition 2023

Celebrating 10 years of the Tadanori Yokoo Museum

Venue
Tadanori Yokoo Museum of Contemporary Art
When
Jan 28th - May 7th 2023

Japanese graphic designer, illustrator, printmaker, and painter Tadanori Yokoo was born in Nishiwaki City, Hyogo, and the Tadanori Yokoo Museum of Contemporary Art opened in the prefecture in late 2012. A special event is being held to celebrate the museum's 10th anniversary, and it will pack about 30 previous exhibitions into a limited exhibition space.

The somewhat chaotic nature of the exhibition is by design, intended to symbolize Yokoo's seemingly never-ending energy – he still manages to create with passion and energy at the age of 86.

Getting there

The Tadanori Yokoo Museum of Contemporary Art is located approximately 6 minutes on foot from Ojikoen Station, which is served by the Hankyū Kōbe Main Line.

For those who opt to drive, the museum is around 8 minutes from the Maya IC on the Hanshin Expressway's Kobe Line. Paid parking is available at a shared parking lot with Harada no Mori Gallery, and is charged at a rate of ¥400 for 2 hours for museum patrons. After 2 hours, the rate is ¥200 per 30 minute increment.
