Fireworks fan? The Sanriku Fireworks Competition brings 23 different fireworks companies to Iwate Prefecture to battle it out and show off their skills in the pyrotechnics field.
The fireworks themselves will be launched between 7 pm and 8.30 pm, but there will be plenty of other fun for visitors to enjoy starting at 12 noon on the day. Performances by local entertainment groups, activities for children, and food trucks serving up a variety of local cuisine are all part of the event.
