Haru Ranman Festa at Sanuki Mannou Park

Celebrate spring with a variety of colorful blooms

Spring at Kagawa's Sanuki Mannou park is a real feast for the eyes, with a wide variety of different blooms to enjoy. From late March through until early May, the likes of narcissus, tulips, and nemophila (baby blue eyes) are on display in succession at the Haru Ranman Festa. The park often likens the festival to a 'passing the baton' situation, where one plant variety finishes blooming and hands it over to another to take center stage.

Along with the aforementioned flowers, there are also cherry blossoms, azaleas, and irises to appreciate.

Getting there

Sanuki Manno Park is located around a 25 minute drive from the Zentsuji IC on the Takamatsu Expressway, or 35 minutes from Sakaide IC on the Setochuo Expressway. On-site parking is available and is priced at 320 yen for regular vehicles.

For those utilizing public transport, the park is around 15 minutes by taxi from either the JR Kotohira Station, Kotoden Kotohira Station, or the Kotoden Okada Station.

Kim-san, if you'd have to choose one season of a year for a visit to Japan, what would be your choice? The comments from others are welcome, too!
