The west coast of the Miura Peninsula has some nice sunset view spots. Aburatsubo’s Araihama Beach is one of them. A nice seaside walking trail circles around from in front of the Keikyu Kanchoso hotel, through Araihama down to the beach, behind the Aburatsubo Marine Park. The course combines a walking trail, the beach, and a stretch of rock. You can enjoy boating, swimming, fishing, and just relaxing. For me, waiting for a nice sunset, the best thing is to drink beer stretched out on one of the cozy beach chairs set out in front of the Hawaiian beach house! This is also the best spot to see the so called "Diamond Fuji" - when the sun sets just at the top of Mt. Fuji, twice a year.

Ever hear of 'Diamond Fuji'? Great views like this twice a year - in the spring and autumn.

Cool! Is there an official schedule for that every year?

Did anyone catch Diamond Fuji here on Sept 21? If not, you can see it from Yokohama's Osanbashi Pier on Oct 3rd and 4th!

Great summer fun! Kanagawa has some of the best views of Mt. Fuji in all of Japan.
