Oden is one of Japan's ultimate winter comfort foods, where various ingredients like boiled eggs, daikon radish, and fishcakes are stewed in a broth flavored with soy sauce and dashi stock. The Suzuhiro Oden Festival celebrates this much-loved dish, and will provide attendees with the opportunity to try a creative variety of oden types.
There will be a unique curry oden flavored with 18 different spices, a yuzu miso oden that delivers a pleasant zingy taste, and even sweets inspired by oden to name just a few.
The event runs from January 11th until the end of February, and while there is no admission fee to attend the event, do bring some yen if you plan to try some of the oden on offer.
