Yabitsutoge Lookout Tower

Views of Hadano City and the surrounding mountains

The entrance to the path for the lookout is a car park on this narrow road

A small wooden tower stands at the top of the path

Sometimes you can see Mount Fuji, but not today

Hatano Country Club is part of the panoramic view

Maybe these cables are carrying electricity from nearby Miyagase Dam

The mountains of Kanagawa are beautiful even on cloudy days

the cherry blossom petals have already fallen

Up here in the mountains the city is a distant dream

Driving along a narrow road through the mountains of Kanagawa, we stopped at a car park and climbed the path up to a small lookout tower with views over Hadano City and Hatano Country Club. It was cloudy, so we couldn't see all the surrounding mountains clearly, but it was still a beautiful view from the tower. On clear days you can also see Mount Fuji. The name of this place is Yabitsutoge Tenbodai.

My guess is they are just copying the idea from the bridge in Paris, but I don't really know. I've seen this a few places around Japan - notably Enoshima, which does have other connections to love and relationships. https://en.japantravel.com/kanagawa/golden-week-at-enoshima/13348
