Zuisen-ji is another of Kamakura's lovely Zen temples. With its many intriguing contrasts, the temple is interesting to visit year-round. Compare the starkness of the Zen garden in the back of the temple grounds with the beauty and lushness of the rest of the temple, as well as the main hall, considered to be one of the most beautiful and elaborate in all of Kamakura. A visit here might leave you wondering "but what is Zen really like?!"
