A special exhibition taking place at the Ryukoku Museum in Kyoto looks at a variety of religious art treasures that originate from Okayama Prefecture. Okayama has been home to a rich religious culture since ancient times, and was the birthplace of two important figures in Buddhist history: Honen, the founder of Pure Land Buddhism, and Eisai, the founder of Rinzai Buddhism.

Along with religious art pieces from the Okayama Prefectural Museum, there will be pieces from the Ryukoku Museum's own collection on display.

Adult admission to the event is priced at 900 yen, and advance reservations are required. Please visit the official ticketing website to select a date and time for your visit.
