Umekoji Park is very close to Kyoto Station, bordered by train tracks on one side, and the relatively new Kyoto Aquarium on another side. In early spring there are some very pretty plum blossoms here. There is also yellow canola blossom planted along the railway lines. Bring along a frisbee or a ball, and make the most of this expanse of grass (a rare thing in Kyoto!) There is also a train museum near the aquarium.

Can never get enough of these!!
Me either - I like plum blossom better than cherry blossom! What you can't tell from the photos is that it smells SO good!
