Takanori Ogisu (1901-1986) was a Japanese style painter who spent more than 50 years of his life in France. A special exhibition at Kyoto's Museum EKI commemorates 120 years since Ogisu's birth, and there will be around 70 of his paintings displayed at the event. Many of the works depict street corners in Paris and glimpses into everyday life at the time.
Admission to the exhibition is priced at 1100 yen for adults, 900 yen for high school and university students, and 500 yen for elementary and junior high school-aged students.
