As I wandered through Harunire Terrace, the shopping area in Karuizawa's Hoshino Resort, the rain began to pour, so I ran into the closest shop or restaurant I could see. I was lucky enough to find this chic Chinese restaurant, which provided incredible food, including set meals for around ¥1500. Positioned beside the local river, the source of Hoshino's famous hot springs, you get a beautiful view as you eat. Kisurin is around a 10 minute walk from the Hoshino onsen and Picchio tourist centre.
