To mark the 40th anniversary of Hangyodon—Sanrio's beloved half-fishman character—a pop-up cafe event is taking place for a limited time starting in early March. The cafe will be available in several locations: Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, and Sapporo, offering fans a chance to immerse themselves in a cherry blossom-themed celebration with Hangyodon and his friends.
The cafe's design is centered around sakura viewing, and the menu features a variety of creative, cherry blossom-inspired dishes, including Hangyodon’s favorite foods and exclusive anniversary treats. Some of the highlights include Hangyodon's Happy Dim Sum, Sakura Manten Chilled Chinese Noodles, a festive 40th Anniversary Celebration Cake, and a fun Cherry Blossom Viewing Parfait to fit the spring theme.
As for the drinks, visitors can pick from some beautifully-presented options like the Haru Ranman Float, Sakura Blossom Latte, or the Peach Spring Tea Soda.
In addition to the special menu, the cafe will also offer exclusive merchandise for those looking for souvenirs, including acrylic keychains, pin badges, mini towels, and mugs. In addition, fans who reserve their spot in advance will receive special benefits, such as a random photo prop and a sakura-scented postcard with qualifying menu purchases.
