Star Wars R2-D2 ANA Jet Revealed

All Nippon Airways teams up with the force

Launching this fall, passengers flying ANA airways can travel star wars-style, aboard the new R2-D2 dreamliner aircraft.

The original design marks the first time that a character from the epic space franchise will appear on the exterior of a commercial plane. the R2-D2 motif is imprinted onto the jet’s main fuselage, wrapping around its exterior skin — colors which match ANA’s blue logo — while the star wars signature spans the length behind the wings. the new dreamliner is expected to take passengers to international destinations beginning fall 2015. No word yet on the light saber carry-on policy.

There is actually 3 different planes, I saw the one called "Star Wars ANA Jet" (I saw the BB8 side) at Narita when I took my plane to Osaka.

The Force has landed in Sydney! This weekend marks the start of the ANA Sydney to Tokyo Haneda service. ANA has added a touch of excitement by flying their Star Wars themed Boeing 787 Dreamliner for the inaugural service. Now Sydneysiders have a choice between ANA and Qantas, with both services flying to the most convenient airport in Japan - Tokyo Haneda. https://en.japantravel.com/tokyo/a-peek-inside-qantas-business-class/2642
