Mitsumasa Anno Exhibition 2023

Exploring works by this painter, author, and designer

Venue: Abeno Harukas Art Museum When: Sep 16th - Nov 12th 2023

Born in Tsuwano, Shimane Prefecture, Mitsumasa Anno was a painter, children's book author, and illustrator during his career that spanned over half a century. A special exhibition taking place at the Abeno Harukas Art Museum is set to explore a variety of Anno's works, from his picture book debut “Fushigi na e” (“Mysterious Pictures”) through to his more recent masterpiece "Sangokushi".

Sadly, this project was rescheduled from a cancelled event from spring of 2020 when Anno was still alive.

Adult admission to the event is priced at 1600 yen, and no advance reservations are required.

Getting there

The Abeno Harukas Art Museum is located just a minute on foot from the Osaka Abenobashi Station on the Minami Osaka Line of the Kintetsu Railway, or two minutes on foot from Tennoji Station on the JR Osaka Loop Line.

As there is no on-site parking available, visitors to the museum are advised to use public transport wherever possible.
