Known globally for his minimalist concrete designs and thoughtful integration of nature, Tadao Ando is the brainchild behind some of Japan's iconic architectural works including Hokkaido's Hill of the Buddha and several museums on the art island of Naoshima. A large-scale solo exhibition taking place at Osaka's VS. Studio explores the evolution of Ando’s career, tracing his path from self-taught beginnings to international acclaim.

Spanning an expansive underground venue, the exhibition features approximately 60 architectural projects and over 230 works, including sketches, models, and immersive installations. Highlights include a life-size recreation of his Hokkaido-based work "Church on the Water", as well as an engaging display of his latest urban development projects and community-focused contributions such as the Children’s Book Forest initiative.

Visitors can also experience a unique video installation showcasing three of Ando’s famous architectural spaces, projected onto towering 15-meter-high screens.

The exhibition is open daily (except Mondays) from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with extended hours on weekends and public holidays. Adult admission is priced at 1800 JPY.
