Sanrio Puroland, or Hello Kitty Land, is an indoor amusement park based on the popular character “Hello Kitty”. The theme park is located in Tama New Town in Tokyo, and also features other characters from the Sanrio company — My Melody, Cinnamoroll, Gudetama and more. Opened in 1990, Sanrio Puroland is a haven for fans of their hit characters.
Closed temporarily as a preventative measure to help curb the spread of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19 disease). Passholders are able to enter Puroland.
Like the famous Tokyo Disneyland, the indoor theme park is host to a variety of rides, restaurants, performances and mascot appearances by the popular Sanrio characters. Sanrio Puroland also holds seasonal parades performed by their very own mascot characters and musical dancers dressed to the nines.
Hello Kitty Fans will also be delighted to try the themed restaurants within the park, and also take home unique souvenirs from the exclusive gift shops. Located just 30 minutes away from Shinjuku, Sanrio Puroland is an easy day trip for families, couples, or anyone who loves the cute characters from Sanrio.
Sanrio Puroland has irregular opening hours, it's best to check ahead on their official calendar.
