Venue
Kakegawa Ninomaru Museum of Art
When
Oct 17th - Nov 15th 2020

An exhibition focusing on modern Japanese painting is taking place at the Kakegawa Ninomaru Museum of Art until November 15th. The event will showcase artworks from the museum's in-house collection that range from the Meiji era through to the Showa era. Some of the pieces are from influential artists like Taikan Yokoyama (1868 - 1958), Kawai Gyokudo (1873 -1957), and Takeuchi Seiho (1864 - 1942).

Many of the works to be displayed at the event are inspired by the four seasons, and there will also be various kacho-e (bird and flower) pieces to appreciate. Adult admission to the event is priced at 200 yen.

The Kakegawa Ninomaru Museum of Art is located around 10 minutes on foot (or 5 minutes by taxi) from Kakegawa Station, which is served by the Tokaido Shinkansen, the Tokaido Main Line, and the Tenryu Hamanako Line.

For those who plan to drive to the venue, parking is available at the nearby Otemon parking lot or the Kakegawajo Park parking lot.
