If you're looking for a great way to spend a New Year's season day in Tokyo take a walk to visit the six shrines and temples located in Mukojima to collect the 7 Lucky Gods. Start your walking tour from Horikiri Train Station, which is located on the Tohbu Isesaki Line. The walking tours takes 3 or 4 hours, depending on how much time you spend taking pictures, time for some refreshments, etc. You should end up in Asakusa where you can take the subway back to your chosen destination.

There are 7 lucky gods pilgrimages in every major city it seems and even some small towns. Usually there is some kind of stamp book or phamplet. I have never seen a walk where you buy miniture figures of each to collect!! This is really cool.
You're right - there are, but this is one of the better ones, I've found.
