Cherry Blossoms Adorn Meguro River

A lovely April day in Tokyo

By George Popescu    - 1 min read

One beautiful early April day I took a walk along the Meguro canal river and saw the mesmerizing cherry blossom trees in full bloom.

Many people were walking around and enjoying the sights, taking photos as well as eating and drinking the various foods and beverages offered at the stalls near the river side. There were also quite a few people in kayaks enjoying the view from the river base looking up at the sakura trees and slowly paddling away on the river that was full of cherry blossom petals. A beautiful and calming sight that must be experienced.

I was born in Bucharest, Romania and after a brief stay in London, England I settled and lived in Toronto, Canada for 20 years. I moved to Tokyo in late 2013 and have lived here ever since. I enjoy exploring the city with my camera as well as going to many special events that Tokyo has to offer every year. There are so many incredible things and places to see in this country and they all need to be enjoyed and documented as well as shared with the world.
