Mark Manders Exhibition 2021

A special event at Tokyo's Museum of Contemporary Art

Venue: Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo, 4-chōme-1-1 Miyoshi, Koto City, Tokyo 135-0022, Japan When: Mar 20th - Jun 20th 2021

A special event at Tokyo's Museum of Contemporary Art will look at the works of Mark Manders (1968-), a Dutch artist known for his unique contemporary sculptures that manage to strike a balance between calmness and unease.

This solo exhibition will showcase a range of Manders' sculptures, including two of his representative works: Nocturnal Garden Scene and Mind Study. This will be the first time that these pieces have been exhibited in Japan - they're on loan from museum collections in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Adult admission to the event is priced at 1500 yen.

Getting there

Tokyo's Museum of Contemporary Art is located 9 minutes on foot from the B2 exit of Kiyosumi-shirakawa Station on the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line, or 15 minutes on foot from Kiba Station on the Tozai Line. There's also a bus available from Kiba Station - look out for the Toei Bus bound for Tokyo Skytree Station, and get off at the Tokyoto-Gendai-Bijutsukan stop.
