Our Life in the COVID-19 Crisis 2020

A special exhibition at the Meguro Museum of Art

Venue: Meguro Museum of Art When: Oct 24th - Nov 29th 2020

There's no doubting that the coronavirus pandemic of 2020 has altered the way we live, and even the way in which we see our lives and what is truly important. A special exhibition at the Meguro Museum of Art titled 'Our Life in the COVID-19 Crisis' looks into this, with various pieces on display that capture the emotions of this unprecedented time.

The exhibition will be split into four main sections, which are:

  • Chapter 1 "Fear, Anxiety, and Sadness"
  • Chapter 2 "Beloved Days"
  • Chapter 3 "Still We Live Now"
  • Chapter 4 "The day when we can hug each other again"

Adult admission to the exhibition is 700 yen.

Getting there

The Meguro Museum of Art is located approximately ten minutes on foot from Meguro Station, served by the JR Yamanote Line, the Tokyo Metro Nanboku Line, the Toei Mita Line, and the Tokyu Meguro Line.

For those who plan to drive to the museum, there is no dedicated parking lot. Museum patrons are advised to use the nearby Meguro Citizens' Center parking lot, which is charged at a fee of 100 yen per 30 minute increment.

Would you know the format of the art on exhibit? Paintings? Photos? Poems?

All paintings from what I've seen on their website! Some of them are listed here: http://mmat.jp/exhibition/archive/2020/20201024-171.html
