Fans of the beloved Swiss stop-motion character Pingu are in for a treat, with a limited-time Pingu Cafe taking place at BOX cafe & space Tokyo Solamachi from December 19th, 2024, to February 9th, 2025. The pop-up marks the iconic penguin's 45th anniversary, and combines themed menu items, decor, and exclusive merchandise to create a memorable experience.
A look at the menu offerings
The menu includes dishes inspired by classic Pingu episodes and themes, such as the Pingu Croquette and Fish Waffle, Igloo Cream Rice, and desserts like the Nightmare Bavarois. Fans can also sip on creative drinks like the Pingu NOOT NOOT Float (a black sesame ice cream-topped beverage), or a warm latte featuring Pingu-themed latte art.
Exclusive Merchandise
Visitors can purchase a variety of limited-edition Pingu goods, including acrylic keychains, mugs, stickers, and more, all adorned with exclusive illustrations. For those unable to visit the event in person, select merchandise will be available online during the cafe's run.

Advance reservations are priced at 660 JPY per person, and this price includes a bonus Mini Postcard Set (please note the styles are randomly selected). Shoppers who spend 3300 JPY or more on merchandise in-store will receive an original tote bag while supplies last.
