On a rainy day I was walking through Hachioji when suddenly something blue caught my attention. It was the roof of Shinsho-in. The roof tiles have a very bright color; perhaps they are even more striking on a gray day. The graveyard of the temple extends a bit uphill and from there you have an even better view of the roof, which has golden decorations on top that go well with the blue tiles.

Even if the sky is not blue, the roof makes up for it

Next to the main building are a bell and a statue of Hotei, one of the Seven Lucky Gods

There is also a small restaurant which offers tea and lunch courses
