A number of summer festivals have been canceled or postponed this year owing to the lingering pandemic, but Tokyo's Royal Park Hotel have come up with a fun way of bringing the festival atmosphere to their guests. From July 1st until August 31st, their Summer Festival Afternoon Tea serves up a range of beautifully presented dishes, such as a passionfruit tart designed to emulate the look of fireworks in the night sky, and a yakitori (grilled chicken) terrine.
The afternoon tea set is normally priced at ¥ 4,840 per head, but there's a way to save yourself some money! Bring a friend and both come wearing yukata, and you can enjoy these tastes of summer for ¥ 7,700 yen between you.
