The 43rd Japan Hobby Show is held from April 25 (Thursday) to April 27 (Saturday), 2019 and is organized by the Hobby Association of Japan. The event is in conjunction with the Hobby Cooking Fair 2019 and entrance to one event allows you access to both events. Hundreds of exhibitors and booths showcase their craft. You can browse for finished products, shop for materials for your own hobby, watch the artists at work, or try your hand at something new. This is the perfect event to discover the joy of hand making things and finding something new to love be it sewing, scrapbooking, doll and toy making, baking, quilting, working with leather or lace, stained glass, miniature art, soap and candle making, and many many more. Unleash your creativity.

Getting there

The closest station is Tokyo Big Sight Station on the Yurikamome Line, which is a three minute walk from the entrance.

For Sherilyn Siy, Asia is home. Born in Hong Kong, Sherilyn spent time in the Philippines, China, and now lives in Japan. She speaks English, Filipino, Chinese (or putonghua), and Hokkien, her family's local dialect. Running is one of her favorite ways to explore Japan. She proudly finished the 2015 Tokyo Marathon -- her first ever full marathon -- in 4 hours and 37 minutes. She was absolutely psyched when she got selected again to run the new Tokyo Marathon route in 2018. She hopes to complete other races in Japan.
