If you've got a bit of a green thumb – or you'd like to nurture one – the Toyosu Plant Festival is worth checking out. The two-day event is set to include a variety of fun activities such as plant-themed workshops, hands-on craft activities like dried flower wreath making, and even nature-inspired games.
Part of the event centers around the release of the book "まきのまきのレター" (Maki no Maki Letter), which focuses on the life of Japanese botanist Tomitaro Makino. He's often referred to as the Father of Japanese Botany, and was responsible for the classification of over 50,000 plant specimens from across the country.
