With a rich cultural heritage and a talented pool of filmmakers, Vietnam has produced a wide range of compelling and diverse films over recent years. The Vietnam Film Festival in Japan celebrates this, and the event will be held to coincide with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations.
The festival will include a number of film screenings, including "The Tailor" (2017), "Song Lang" (2018), and "Ròm" (2019) to name just a few, and some of them have received awards at other prestigious film festivals such as the Beijing International Film Festival and the Busan International Film Festival.
If you can't make the Tokyo event, there will also be screenings held in Osaka, Yokohama, and Nagoya. More details about dates for those should be released on the official event website closer to September.
