The Tokyo Art Book Fair was originally founded in 2009, and has seen publishers, galleries, and artists flock to Tokyo from around the world to celebrate all things printed on an annual basis. With the coronavirus pandemic in 2020 limiting a range of in-person gatherings, the book fair is going virtual for the first time.
The event will have a variety of ways to feel connected in the digital realm, including glimpses at exhibitor booths, lectures, talk shows, signing events, and more. The goal is that even without an in-person exhibition, the virtual fair will still capture the allure of all types of printed media.
Do note that the event runs from November 16th until November 23rd, but real-time communication with the various booths will only be available on the last four-and-a-half days of the event.
