Free entrance to aquarium in Edogawa during Golden Week

I was impressed with the building and landscaping

Shallow infinity pools around the aquarium lead the eye toward the ocean

Carp streamers for Children's Day were fluttering in the sea breeze

Twice a year, at Golden Week and on Tokyo Day (october 31st) Tokyo Sea Life has free entrance. However, my advice is "Don't do it!" It was of course extremely crowded, and I couldn't even get near many of the aquarium windows. It is an impressive aquarium, and it would be much better to pay the entrance fee on a day when it is less crowded, and see it properly.
