After the sudden death of Christian Dior in 1957, Yves Saint Laurent made his debut as a designer for the Dior fashion house. From 1962 onwards he launched his own brand, and continued to lead the world's fashion scene for nearly half a century.
A special event coming to Tokyo this September will be the first retrospective Yves Saint Laurent exhibition held in Japan, with the full cooperation of the Yves Saint Laurent Museum Paris. Over 110 accessories, drawings, and more will be on display, including pieces from his debut at Dior through to the establishment of his own style.
Admission prices to the event have yet to be decided – more information will be posted on the official website closer to the commencement date.
