Yayoi Kusama Exhibition 2021

A special event at the Yonago City Museum of Art

Venue: Yonago City Museum of Art When: Apr 24th - May 30th 2021

A special event taking place at the Yonago City Museum of Art will explore the work of iconic Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, who is primarily known for her sculpture and installation art — the Yellow Pumpkin at Naoshima is just one example. The exhibition will showcase around 100 of Kusama's works including prints, paintings, and three-dimensional pieces, mainly from the 1980s and 1990s.

Adult admission to the event is priced at 1100 yen, and no advance reservations are required.

Getting there

The Yonago City Museum of Art is located around a kilometer away from the JR Yonago Station, which is around 15 minutes on foot. The station is served by the San'in Main Line and the Sakai Line.

For those who opt to drive to the museum, it's around 20 minutes from the Yonago Interchange on the Yonago Expressway. Patrons are advised to park at the nearby free Yonago City Hall parking lot.

The idea of polka dots seems simple, but in this concept it's original and cool!
