A special exhibition taking place at the Shunan City Museum of Art looks into a range of botanical works inspired by London's Kew Gardens, which have been a historical favorite of the British Royal Family. Approximately 100 artworks from the 18th and 19th Century will be on display, along with another 30 items related to the British Royal Family including furniture and ceramic pieces.
Adult admission to the event is priced at 1100 yen, and no advance reservations are required.
The Shunan City Museum of Art is located approximately 20 minutes on foot (or 5 minutes by taxi) from Tokuyama Station, which is served by the Sanyo Shinkansen, the Sanyo Main Line, and the Gantoku Line. Alternatively, the 100 yen city bus departs from the station to the museum approximately every 20 minutes between 9am and 6pm on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
For those who opt to drive, the museum is around 10 minutes from the Tokuyama Higashi IC on the Sanyo Expressway. On-site parking is available.
