This very pretty park is the main venue for the Kawaguchiko Herb Festival held yearly from mid-June to mid-July, when the purple lavender is in full bloom. I visited in late July, too late for the lavender. There is a small shrine, Rokkakudo, on a tiny island just offshore, and on the west side of the park you can find Kawaguchiko Muse Museum. Yagizaki Park is a lovely place for a picnic!

These cherry trees must be pretty in spring
In July the hydrangeas were just beginning to fade

I wonder if that soft cream is advertising blueberry or lavender?

Very peaceful place. I reckon the ice-cream is lavender taste!
