Located in Shinjuku, the fashion and entertainment hub of Tokyo, Pizza Cucinova made its grand opening in February 2019. This brand new pizza place is next to many other new restaurants inside the ‘Food Hall Blast Tokyo’ building. Pizza isn’t exactly the food you would expect to eat in Japan, but this pizza is the best if you need a break from sushi and ramen. Coming all the way from the main chain in Columbus, Ohio, Pizza Cucinova is making its first debut outside of the United States.
The pizzas here not only include the classic Margherita, steak & gorgonzola, and chicken pizza, but you also have the fun opportunity to craft your own pizza right before your eyes. Customize your pizza with your favorite sauce, cheese, and toppings. Those times when you had to pick off the toppings you don’t like on your pizza are over. It’s okay to be a picky eater here.
There are 20 different types of toppings and around five different types of cheese and sauces. In other words, you can create tons of different combinations in this restaurant.
As this restaurant has an open kitchen, you are able to watch your pizza being made and take photos of the process!
Vegans are also welcome as Veggie pizza is on the menu, and in case you are craving a side dish, pasta and salad are served as well, and both of them are also able to be customized.
Fresh ingredients, chewy dough, and an authentic pizza grill are all you need for a perfect pizza, and Pizza Cucinova has it all. A freshly made pizza emerging from an oven can never go wrong, so why not treat yourself to a pizza when you’re around Shinjuku?
Other than Pizza Cucinova, the Food Hall Blast! Tokyo building contains a great number of gourmet and drink options in an open food court arrangement so you can mix and match depending on your preferences. Chronic Tacos is a great take on Mexican food while Blast BBQ provides ample southern meat options. Drinks can be found at Draft Pub Bevvy or Bar Lit.
