Delicate white, pink and yellow colored plum or ume blossoms brighten up cold temperatures in Chiba. The blossoms have come out in early February. Plum blossoms are especially exciting because they signal spring is coming in Japan. The ume trees are often associated with plums in English, but the fruit they produce is also closely related to apricots. Enjoy the blooms while they last!
