Wouldn’t it be nice to go shopping where you can also feel the ocean breeze? Marinoa City Fukuoka in the western part of Fukuoka City is an outlet mall with a huge variety of popular brands, such as Coach, Edwin, and Muji. You can get all types of products here. The ocean right next to the building and the numerous palm trees give this fancy outlet mall a Los Angeles sort of atmosphere – relishing the mixture of Fukuoka and LA would be a cool experience for sure.

Marinoa City Outlet Mall in Fukuoka
An outlet mall with a romantic ferris wheel

By Haruka Saijo
Community writer

There used to be another ferris wheel that was the biggest in the world for a while as well, but they took that one down and have this smaller one instead

The enormous sign

You can walk out on the deck next to the mall

The great ocean view includes the city of Fukuoka and Fukuoka Tower

Palm trees line the streets here

At Marinoa City, you can see the ocean surrounding the mall 270°

Of course, there is a McDonald's

Palm trees, blue sky, white walls . . . doesn't it remind you of LA?

Patio-styled tables with bright red shades add a splash of color in the blue and white mall

The spot on the second floor enclosed by the greenery is a Starbucks

Of course they have sales everywhere

The ferris wheel makes a resort-like atmosphere
