Niseko is a paradise for anyone who wants to experience some of the lightest and fluffiest snow in the world. And with an average snowfall of around 15 metres you are bound to time your visit during some amazing snow. With all this snow it can be often hard to get a good view of the surroundings but if you're lucky you'll get a bluebird day like the ones in these pictures and you'll be amazed by just how beautiful the surrounding area is.

You just have to start skiing or snowboarding and then you can't get enough of it. I hate the cold but love the snow :-)

I am as graceful in ice and snow as a newborn giraffe. My first and only sky trip ended with a broken tail bone and a concussion. I will enjoy from afar via your lovely photos.

Yeah, I could imagine that would put a dampener on any future ski trips. But the beauty of Hokkaido is you can go visit all the winter festivals and enjoy the snow without having to ever go skiing.
