A special event taking place at the Ishikawa Prefectural Museum of Art looks at the depths of the prefecture's craft culture. A total of 93 works will be exhibited from 86 different artists, including pieces related to the seasons in Japan, and newer craft items that have traditional leanings with modern sensibilities. The items run the gamut from textiles to woodwork pieces, lacquerware and more.
Adult admission to the event is priced at 600 yen.
The Ishikawa Prefectural Museum of Art can be accessed by several different buses from Kanazawa Station's East Exit. One option is bus route 18 (from platform 3). Alight at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art stop, and the Prefectural Museum of Art is around five minutes on foot from there.
For those who plan to drive, take either the Kanazawa Nishi IC or Morimoto IC from the Hokuriku Expressway. The museum is around 20-30 minutes drive from either of those exits. Free on-site parking is available for up to 60 vehicles.
