Yamashita Park is one of the most iconic places in the port city Yokohama. Although the park is related to a sad history (Yamashita Park was built on reclaimed land from the debris of the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923), it became a treasure of the city's citizen’s after they experienced many difficulties. Now people from around the world can enjoy spending time here sitting on the green grass or benches, looking at the open sky and boats coming and going, or by walking along the seaside smelling the nice fragrance of flowers or salty fresh air. Yamashita Park is my favorite park.
