Have you ever been to Yokohama's Minato-Mirai area at night? If you have, you'll know what I'm talking about when I say it must be one of the most romantic places in Japan.
At night, the skyscrapers at Minato-Mirai are magically illuminated, and Yamashita Park, with its beautiful landscape and open space, gives you a sense of freedom; freedom to walk with your beloved one hand in hand. Especially at twilight, the gas lights are lit under the blue night sky, and you can hear the soft sound of waves from Yokohama Bay, and you can feel a soft breeze caressing your cheek. Yes, I can assure you that this is the place you should visit with your better half!

I was born in and grew up in Tokushima prefecture, and have lived in many places since then: Nishinomiya, Kyoto, Nara, Mie, Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama, Chiba, Fukuoka and Fukui. I am currently living in Yokohama City. All the places I lived, all the places I visited, I have loved dearly. The historical places where people lived, loved, suffered, and fought - places where I can still hear their heartbeats - mesmerize me. I'd like to retrace the footsteps of the people who lived in Japan a long long time ago, and introduce to you what they left behind on this soil.
