Ankokuron-ji is another of the many Nichiren sect temples in Kamakura. Located in the quiet Omachi area of the city, it is situated in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. If you are ready for a short but steep climb, the view from the top of the hill on a clear day is breathtaking. The temple was founded by Nichiren around the year 1250. It contains a large cemetery, cave, and a small but pretty temple building.
