Kannai is the heart of old Yokohama. It used to be the center for shopping, fun and governmental offices. Now many shops are gone, and you can find more fun in other places in Yokohama. But it still has many modern western pieces of architecture built in the 1920s and 1930s. And here, you can also find the nicest coffeehouses in town!

Liked the photo of the cannon out the front of the coffee shop -- which was also done up in Japanese style. Nice juxtaposition of East and West.
