Enjoy flavors of the season at the Fauchon Hotel Kyoto

Venue: Fauchon Hotel Kyoto When: Jun 1st - Aug 31st 2021

There are certain flavors and ingredients that just exude a summery vibe, and a Summer Afternoon Tea event at the Fauchon Hotel Kyoto incorporates a variety of them. Sweets that feature mango, passionfruit, and lime are just part of the menu, along with homemade scones and madeleines that pair well with black tea. The savory dishes also utilize summer vegetables, ensuring a colorful and in-season meal.

The price for the afternoon tea event is 5,000 yen per person, and each sitting is for a two hour window. Reservations can be made via the Fauchon Hotel Kyoto website here.

Getting there

The Fauchon Hotel Kyoto is located around 10 minutes by taxi from JR Kyoto Station. Alternatively, the hotel is 10 minutes on foot from Kyoto-Kawaramachi Station, or 6 minutes on foot from Kiyomizu-gojo Station.

As there is no dedicated parking lot at the hotel, it's advised to plan your visit via public transport wherever possible.

I love fruits very much, but here fruits don't grow. They're brought from afar and mostly unripe. :(

Here, in the Urals people grow potato, cabbage, redis and few more vegetables, but tomatoes and cucumbers need to be grown in a green house. We don't have big variety of fruits and vegetables. Apples, cherries grow small and sour. But, in the south of Russia it's much better.
