You can climb via the Gozaisho Ropeway and this area is famous for ski sports during the winter season. This Ropeway connects the Yunoyama Hot Springs and the summit of Mount Gozaisho. During the autumn season, the rhododendon trees that cover Mount Gozaisho burst into a lovely array of colors. Leaves begin to change at the summit during mid-October and the display of colors reaches Yunoyama Onsen (hot springs) at the base around late November. Upon climbing the mountain, you have to expect a slight traffic specially if you go by car. But as you enter the resort, you can feel and enjoy the autumn season's colors along the way.
