Harmony Land is situated in a small city called Hiji in Oita Prefecture. While it is focused on younger kids and Sanrio fans, there are several attractions in this amusement park which makes it suitable for all those who are young at heart. I highly recommend you go to the daily live shows, such as "Parade Parallel" and "Kitty's Dream Factory". There is a magical atmosphere during Halloween and Christmas which is celebrated in a big way here. It is just the right size for younger children to spend a few hours here while adults can enjoy the hot springs in Beppu City. It is usually closed on Thursdays.
