At one time over 5000 people lived on Inujima. Today, there are only just over 50.

Narrow alleyways that can barely be described as streets and the crumbling buildings are fascinating.

The beach park had me looking forward to returning in the summer to camp with my family.

I was blown away by the Seirensho art installation when I visited Inujima on a clear, but cold and blustery January afternoon. I was also, however, very taken by the rest of this charming little island, just off the coast of Okayama Prefecture.
