There's no shortage of noodle shops in Okinawa but finding good Chinese food restaurants is a bit more challenging. Dragon is a popular choice in central Okinawa with locations in the Awase area of Okinawa City, the Gushikawa area of Uruma City, and the Hamby Town area of Chatan. It serves very large portions of delicious food for about 600 ~ 800 each. I visited the Uruma City location on Route 75 one block north of the intersection with Route 8. The restaurant is always packed and noisy, but the food arrives quickly. Dragon is open daily 11:00 ~ 23:00.

Dragon
Huge portions at a small Chinese food chain

Dragon has three locations in central Okinawa and is known for having a wide selection of entrees and sets served in very large portions
Stir fried vegetables and beef laden with lots of garlic; the meat is tender on the inside but has a crispy charred honey-kissed texture on the outside
A ramen set served in the largest bowls I have seen on Okinawa
Most items come in sets that more often than not include rice, radish, salad, soup and chicken karrage
The fried rice set with gyoza is more than enough for one person
Dragon's gyoza is distinctly crispy on one side; I like to poke a hole into the tender side with my chop sticks to allow the gyoza sauce to fill the inside of the dumpling
If dining with children ask for extra donburis and spoons to share the entrees and sets
